It’s been a while! I spent the past months working on my own little website, so future reviews and posts will be displayed there instead of here. If you’re interested in reading my blog posts, head over to
Hallo meine Lieben.

It’s Nerd Block time! My favorite time of the month. This month’s theme was Anime. As a big Anime fan I was thrilled about the news and couldn’t wait to receive my Nerd Block.
A Frieza Funko! This is actually funny, because a few weeks ago the Nerd Block team asked on twitter what we’d like to see in the Anime box and I tweeted that I’d like to get a DBZ Funko. Wish granted! As a huge DBZ fan the sight of Frieza made me shriek. I love him! You could either get Frieza, Cell or Piccolo. A+!
Attack on Titan cinch bag. I LOVE Attack on Titan! It’s such a great Manga and show, but since it’s rather new I didn’t expect Nerd Block to have a AoT item in the box. You guys really surprised me! Love the bag.
Conclusion: ★★★★★ (5/5 stars)
Really, it can’t get any better than that. Nerd Block surprised me with a perfect box full of Anime treasures. I was really nervous about the theme, because it’s easy to go for the wrong things, but Nerd Block managed to make me shriek of happiness. All the items were so well chosen and somehow they managed to capture all my favorite Animes in this little box. SORCERY! The value in this box is incredibly high and this is Nerd Block‘s trademark. You really get something for your money. They make us geeks happy.
I love Nerd Block to bits.

Koala bears!!! We only carry the ‘normal’ flavors here (cocoa and milk), so I was really excited to try something new. These are supposed to be cheese cake flavored and I have to admit, they really tasted like cake!
After it’s cooled and dry, you need to scratch off the chocolate excess on the other side before you get the pieces out of the mold. After you did that, you can put them into the other mold and arrange it.
Conclusion: ★★★★★ (5/5 stars)
The price/service ratio is really good. Their snacks were well chosen and balanced and even though I already tried a lot of Japanese snacks, there were again things I’ve never seen before. I even got a DIY candy kit! I really love these. They’re fun to do and always so unique. Together with their personalized letter and their great costumer service I really felt appreciated as a customer. Full points to Nandemobox for that amazing experience. ANOTHER!

I really enjoyed my March GeekFuel, so I was really excited to receive another one in April. Unfortunately my April GeekFuel arrived in mid-May, so my review is rather late this time. I still hope you’ll enjoy it!
On this month’s shirt we had a Avengers + Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover. It’s slightly bigger than the Lady M sized shirt I am used too, but it’s super comfortable and the material is great. I also love the image!
Conclusion: ★★★☆☆ (3/5 stars)
While I really liked the shirt, the monthly downloadable game code, the figurine and the mug, I am not a fan of edible items in a geek subscription box. They’re most of the time really cheap and I feel like it’s just to fill a box and adds nothing to it’s value. All in all I am happy with the box, but I wished they’d exchange the candy stuff with different things. GeekFuel is a rather new box and they have a lot of potential to become big, so I have big hopes in them. Their costumer service is amazing and really kind and quick – big plus points for them. I like them. ANOTHER!

Time for another review! This time I’d like to introduce TokyoTreat to you. TokyoTreat is a Japanese snack & candy subscription, coming directly from Japan! Unlike other Japanese snack & candy subscription services, TokyoTreat offers you a box full of FULL-SIZED snacks and sometimes even seasonal rarities.
You can choose between three sizes. The Small TokyoTreat box for $14.99 includes 5-7 snacks/candies, the Regular TokyoTreat box for $24.99 includes 8-12 full-sized snacks/candies along with a Sushi candy kit every month and the Premium TokyoTreat box for $34.99 includes 13-17 full-sized snacks/candies, 2 DYI candy kits AND a special gift (a drink for example). Shipping is always free!
Doesn’t it sound fantastic? Let me tell you: It IS fantastic!
I got the Premium TokyoTreat box in May and it included 16 snacks & candies AND a drink. All of the snacks were extremely well chosen and none was like the other. It was well balanced between salty snacks, chocolate and sweet and sour candies.
These black biscuits have been dipped in Kyoto’s Sangyou-Uji famous green tea and chocolate cream. The taste was completely new to me, but I loved it. My beloved green tea combined with chocolate. Can it get any better?
Wasabi Ramune. The Wasabi Ramune is this month’s SPECIAL ITEM. It’s a rare item even in Japan and it was my absolute favorite in the box. I’m not a fan of sweet drinks and this one was just the right amount of sweet. It was super refreshing and had a very light Wasabi flavor. Top!!
★★★★★ (5/5 stars)
I’m going to use a 5-star system from now on and TokyoTreat deserves full 5 stars! From the super kind costumer service to the well balanced box full of snacks & candies everything was top notch. It’s not the cheapest box out there, but you’ll get a lot of service and a beautiful box full of well chosen snacks. You can really see how much heart they put into their boxes! I couldn’t even decide which candy or snack I liked the best, because all of them were so unique and tasty. TokyoTreat doesn’t only include snacks&candies you can get on a daily basis in Japan. They also try to find seasonal rarities and include them for their foreign costumers. I thought about this review for a long time, but I really couldn’t find any negative aspect. If you like Japanese candy & snacks and you want to try something completely new, give TokyoTreat a go! You won’t find a better service. Thanks for that wonderful experience, TokyoTreat!
I’m giving these away to a friend, who is a big Cosplay fan. I really like the NerdPlay idea, but I wished they had more male Cosplayers participating. It’s still a really nice item and Cosplay fans will love it!
This month’s Nerd Block was A+. I loved all the items. Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Pac-Man, a book by Kevin Smith and Cosplay cards! It can’t get better than that. While I was kinda hoping they’ll go back to Funko Pops instead of Titans Vinyl figures, I was really pleased with this month’s Ecto-1. I hope Nerd Block will continue to add mugs to their boxes (sorry, I adore them!). It was a fantastic box and I am more than happy. Thank you, Nerd Block!! Best theme this year. Best box this year.

Another month, another Shikibox! Before I start unboxing I’d like to inform you that Shikibox changed their order/shipping shedule. You can find their new shedule here: Shikibox shedule.
I guess most of you already know the Umaibo snacks from my previous review. We had ten of these in the box with five different flavors.
That’s what it looks like when it’s unwrapped. It’s a crunshy corn roll with different flavors. Quite tasty!
A bag of Caramel Corn!
They’re basically peanut chips coated with a little bit of caramel. VERY sweet.
One of my favourites of the box.
They taste like french fries. Very delicious!
Salad flavored crispy sticks.
We had these scrips in the first box too. They’re quite delicious.
Salty and sweet at the same time. I love them.
The cookies are available in two flavors: Vanilla and Cocoa. They’re very soft inside and really tasty. I wished they were full sized!
Again something we had in our previous box. Mini Meiji chocolate samples.
You can’t go wrong with chocolate, hu?
Do you remember these? Yeah, we had them in our first box aswell. I still need to try them.
Candy in three flavors!
I just tried the grape flavored candy and it kinda contains sherbet powder, which makes it interesting to eat. I love Japanese grape flavored candies, so this one was perfect for me. It’s delicious!
At first I thought these are mini versions of the corn rolls we already had and I was surprised to find something different inside..
A corn roll covered in dark chocolate. Sounds weird? It’s actually quite tasty. I liked it!
Cream covered crackers. The same ones we had in the previous box.
The wrapping looks familiar, does it?
It’s a crispy roll with vanilla cream inside. Really delicious and among my favourite snacks in the box.
Another box of LOOK chocolates!
This time in different flavors than those we had in our previous Shikibox.
And again: The fried pork-thingy. It’s really interesting, because it’s such a unique snack.. It’s really like a dried fried Schnitzel. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of these, but they’re interesting for sure.
Grape flavored gum!!
What can I say? I love it! More grape flavored candy please!
Last but not least: more cookies!
They remind me of the German Butterkeks-cookies. Very tasty.
Another box full of delicious candy. This time we had 42 snacks (last month it was 46), with a smaller variety than last month unfortunately, but it’s still a lot of stuff and you’ll love it. While I really came to love some of the snacks, I wished they wouldn’t repeat so many of them. I’d like to see more new things instead of 10 rolls of Umaibo all the time. Last month we had a cute DIY kit, which was AWESOME, and this month felt a little boring in comparing. Nevertheless I still LOVE Shikibox. It arrived quickly and it has tons of delicious candies and some really unique snacks to try.. Definitely a go!
